AndishiA picked up the guitar at eight years old and never put it down. Entirely self-taught, he built his technique the hard way — by ear, by repetition, and by chasing the players who inspired him: Paul Gilbert, Yngwie Malmsteen, John Petrucci and Vinnie Moore. Twenty-five years later, that same discipline runs through everything he does as a performer, composer and teacher.

As a recording artist he has released seven official albums, including four solo records, spanning instrumental rock and metal as well as cross-cultural collaborations that bring his Persian musical heritage into conversation with modern guitar. His work extends beyond the fretboard: he has produced two music documentaries, directs and edits his own video content, and is also a painter.

As an educator, AndishiA teaches guitar, bass, songwriting, music theory and production, both privately and as faculty at Toronto Guitar School. His teaching is intuitive and customised to each student, but it is built on a simple conviction: technique is nothing without a daily practice plan, and theory is only useful when you can hear it on the instrument. That philosophy became the book Easy to Learn Guitar Theory — a 155-page guide, published in English and Farsi, that focuses on the 20% of theory that gives you 80% of the results on a real guitar.

He teaches in person in Toronto and online to students around the world.
